The year was 1997 and a radio station contest on Mix 94.1 challenged it’s listeners to do something creative with a video or photograph to win a new car. Scott (the founder and owner of Picbots) wrote a song and made a music video in his garage with his buddies and sister. The music video featured the group riding bikes down the Las Vegas Strip which was possible via a makeshift greenscreen and bicycles on jack stands filmed in their garage. If anyone is old enough to remember the early versions of Adobe After Effect, Premiere, and Photoshop…this was an enormous task for an HP computer bought on a pizza delivery driver’s income from Best Buy. We won the car, yay! And then immediately sold the car on Ebay to a nice elderly couple from Henderson. With Scott’s lion share of the car sale he funded the start of Imagine Video Production. Scott left on his final pizza delivery for Pizza Hut later that week, went home, burned his Pizza Hut uniforms in the backyard and never looked back, hence committing his life to doing something creative to earn a living.

Fast forward to 2010 and now Imagine Studios is one of the largest photo-video companies on the Las Vegas Strip responsible for more than 3,00 events annually ranging from weddings to corporate events and close relationships with many of the resort casinos. This was the year that Scott built his first photo booth and did the first event with it, local weatherman Tedd Florendo’s wedding as a matter of fact.  This first photo booth we built was so heavy, that we had to use a Uhaul truck to get it to the JW Marriot lol! This is when Picbots (picture robots) was created as a separate entity from Imagine Studios. A couple years later Scott opens “I got Married in Vegas! JK…” on the las Vegas Strip. This business was similar to the old western photo places where they’d dress you up as an old western cowboy/cowgirl and create old-time sepia photos. Except we’d dress you up in wedding attire and photograph you in a Vegas wedding chapel via greenscreen complete with marriage license so you could fool your friends and family back home lol!

Fast forward to 2022 and Picbots has serviced rentals at 100’s of events as well as built custom permanent photo installations in places like Giada’s restaurant, the Melting Pot, the Plaza, Dallas Social Club, Aria, and more. Along with Scott’s sister Tania and some other awesome people Picbots is providing photo booth services and more to the las Vegas and surrounding area.
