Strike Out for Breast Cancer

What is more fun than a softball tournament on a beautiful Sunday afternoon? How about a softball tournament for a good cause. Picbots/Imagine Studios was happy to sponsor the Rattlers softball team in their tournament endeavor this past Sunday. We had a decent turn out in our cheering section to root us on, which was really nice.

The day kicked off at 9 am with waiver signing in case we got beaned in the head with a softball. Our first game started at 9:30 am which we won with ease. On to our second game it was a nail biter… we actually tied and had to flip a coin to see who won. We called tails (because tails always win) and we actually won lol.

Our third game was against a team put together of AA softball players that hit nothing but home runs. We called them the blue team (because they were all wearing blue). We played our best against these guys, but ended up losing by a couple runs. They literally only scored by hitting home runs, like 10 of them, which is great because every home run they had to pay money towards the charity. So it was all good. Our 4th game was against a team put together of mostly college kids that usually play baseball, we ended up beating them pretty badly. Most of us wanted to let up on them, but our coach Cassidy was out for blood lol.

It was our final game of the day, the play-off for the championship between the Rattlers and the blue team. This game was really close. We almost won it in the last inning…but it just didn’t go our way. Everyone had a great time and it was for a great cause, so no big deal about not winning.
